Day 15 - Day 19 - Easter Weekend

Hi everyone

I have decided after todays blog post I will stop posting each day as I will be thinking lots about how this learning from home is going to look.  I will still do the slideshow each week with lots of photos from you and I will also include some pictures of what I am up to as well.  I hope you have really enjoyed watching what my family and I have been doing over the past 3 weeks.  I am still here and I will be only an email away.  Take care and keep smiling.

Easter Weekend

We started our weekend with making our nephew a cool Easter Dragon and filling it with fun stuff.  He absolutely loved it.

Then on Sunday we had an Easter Egg hunt.  I made clues up using compass points.  My family had to follow the clues around our house and find the letters.  The looked around the backyard and to make the word caravan.  Then followed the clues to make the word kitchen.  Then followed more clues to make the word garage.  In the garage they followed lots of clues to find the hidden Easter eggs.  Here are some pictures of them enjoying their eggs.

I also made them some Easter cupcakes.  My family were very happy.  I hope you had a fantastic Easter...

Day 14 - 8th April

Day 14

We finished watching some more Marvel movies.  Whoa it is taking sometime to get through them all.  I think my favourite so far is Thor.

I also had a Zoom session with Mrs Bentley getting ready for Term 2.  I can't believe that the school holidays are nearly over.  It is very strange that we have been 14 days hanging out at home.

Day 13 - 7th April

Oh my gosh we watched Frozen 2 on Disney Plus.  What a very cool movie.  I cried at the end. Here is the trailer if you haven't seen it yet...

Then we had a sleepover in our lounge.  It was so fun.  The boys started the movie marathon of all the Marvel movies.  What movies have you watched since you have been at home?

Day 12 - 6th April

Day 12

My family and I had a very quiet sleepy morning.  In fact I even had a morning nap which was very funny.  Mr Massey is getting a little bit bored and he set up a putting green outside and he is trying to get a "bucket in one" instead of a hole in one.  We have all had a go.

This afternoon Riley found a recipe on the internet about making a 2 minute microwave biscuit.  He did it all by himself and we had a great afternoon snack.  Here is the link if you want to try it... Chocolate Chip Cookie

Oh and I had had enough of being inside so put up a tent in the backyard.  It was fun lying outside and reading...

Day 11 - 5th April

Today we watched the Royal New Zealand's production of Hansel and Gretel that was streamed live on Facebook.  I especially liked the witch in the story.  How she turned from really nice and pretty to really funny and ugly...  What fun things have you done with your family today?

Day 10 - 4th April

Day 10
I had a Zoom meeting today with some friends so I was inside for most of the day.  At the end of the day though I really needed to get some exercise so I went on a bike ride with Riley and Corbin.  My bike has a special place for Bernie to come and ride as well.  He was a very happy doggie.

Week 2 Lockdown

Day 9 - 3rd April

Day 9
Today we had a really relaxed day with each of my family doing their own thing.  It was kinda nice to have a little bit of our own space.  For the first time since we have been home I put my pretty clothes on and my pretty earrings which was nice for a change.  I made my family some yummy bread and a chocolate slice.  I also read my book, played on my ipad and made Riley and Corbins school memory books.  A bit later I will sit down and make the Room 11 slide show for this week.

Day 8 - 2nd April

Day 8

I have decided to make my posts on the main blog page because that allows you to make comments on the activities my family and I have been doing and maybe even answer the questions that I post.  I hope you are all enjoying this beautiful day.  Remember to send me photos of what you are up to this week as on Friday I will make the Week 2 Lockdown slide show...

This morning I followed some more art tutorials on Art for Kids Hub.  I drew and coloured these two pictures and I am really proud of what I have done.  I have decided I actually really love art and I find it is really relaxing. Corbin really loves it as well.  This afternoon Riley and I are baking... yum yum!

Day 7 - 1st April

We needed to get out today and have a long time outside the house.  We went for a bike ride to a place called Henry's Reserve.  I took a picnic morning tea.  It is such a beautiful place with a waterfall and bush.  We had so much fun playing in the bush and just listening to the water and the birds.  On the way home I picked some wildflowers from the side of the road.  Where could you and your family go for a picnic?

Day 6 - 31st March

I went grocery shopping today.  It was very strange.  Nobody was talking, we all stood in our own little spaces and it took me nearly 2 hours!  This afternoon we painted rocks.  What do you think?  I am going to buy some more rock paints and then we can do this at the end of the year for a present for our families.

Day 5 - 30th March

Day 5
Today we are all doing our own things at home.  Watching movies, playing on chrome books and phones.  I had a go at some art.  What do you think?

Day 4 - 29th March

Day 4
We are sending mail to my nephew who lives down the road.  Today he sent us some things to paint so we had fun painting outside in the sun.  Riley and Corbin got a little bit messy.

Day 3 - 28th March

Day 3
Today my boys were feeling a little sad...  Although it is Day 3 we have actually been home for 6 days.  It was ok I gave them lots of loves. Then went for a big bike ride.  I will have to take a photo the next time.  It is really strange to bike around with no cars. When we got home Riley and Corbin played Monopoly and this afternoon Corbin made scones. Oh and of course we did another Draw with Rob.

Day 2 - 27th March

Day 2
We are getting into the swing of being home now.  I love all the emails I am getting and this afternoon I am going to make the slideshow.  This morning Corbin and I did another Draw with Rob.

 

It is raining out here so we can't get outside so we decided to do Go Noodle and Run the Red Carpet. I have decided I am very unfit but it was still fun.  See you tomorrow.
