Week 3 bloggers Jayden and Lilly-Waia

Week 3
Bloggers Jayden and Lilly-Waia
This week we had a soccer taster session.  We got to
play soccer inside the blow up soccer field.  We split
into boys and girls. It was fun even though we found it
hard to get goals.

Then we went with the other coach and we played Shark
Attack. We had to try and get the balls on the other side
of the field by keeping it close. A person was trying to
kick the ball away from us because they were the sharks.
Getting instructions
The Sharks
Off we go!
We love Golden Time in Room 11!  Here is a photo of
some of the boys who made a block candy shop.

This week Mrs Massey went to Spark and asked for some lovely fake
phones. We were so lucky to get 8 for our class.  Here we are using them all.
Manuela who used to be in Room 11 gave us some superhero costumes.
We think they are pretty cool especially Cieran and Ruan!
Ciara and Jeanne have found some blue eggs. We had a go at guessing
which bird laid the eggs.
We can’t wait to find out if we were right.

We made and coloured some Animal Booklets for our Sharing the
Earth Inquiry. In Week 4 we are going to be researchers and find out
about each animal.

Week 1 Term 4
Bloggers Ella and Tamati

Welcome back to Term 4.  This week we got some
fitness trackers.  They are watches that say how many
steps you have done.
We read the book Extraordinary Earthworms during
Daily 5.
We learnt all about Earthworms.  Did you know
worms love eating newspaper!  Mrs Massey brought
in some tiger worms and Jeanne brought in some more
tiger worms.  We helped Mrs Massey setup the worm
farm. We put in ripped up paper, ripped up cardboard
and coconut husk for the worms bed. Then we added
the worms!  There were 1000 in the box. Then we feed
them celery and lettuce. The worms are going to make
worm pee!
This week we also had a new girl join us in Room 11.
Welcome to Room 11…

Welcome back!

Skully came back, day off, cross-country and mufti-day!

Skully has arrived back from holiday!  Thank you to Bailee’s
Dad for fixing Skully up.

We had a day off on Wednesday.  Mrs Massey went up to
Queen Street to walk with the Valley School teachers.
Yesterday it was cross-country.  Mr Goulstone was
there announcing the races.  Mr Bell was saying “on your marks,
get set, go! Then he banged some pieces of wood!  The Year 3
kids ran as fast as they could. Room 11 tried really hard and
gave 100%.

Yay thank goodness it is Friday and Golden Time and
mufti!

Week 3 bloggers Amelia and Cameron

Week 3
This week in our maths group we were finding different ways
to solve a maths problem.
Alistair was an apple tree grower.  He grew 6 rows of apple
\trees with 6 trees in each row.  How many apple trees were
there in Alistair’s orchard?

We had to find 4 different ways to solve the problem.
We worked with a buddy.

On Wednesday we went to the Pioneer Cottage.
There was lots of old stuff that we looked at.
“My favorite was the doll sleeping in the crib and
watching Cieran playing the piano” said Amelia.
“I liked the mannequins and the washing machine” said
Cameron. It was crowded in the little cottage.  It was lots
of fun and we learnt heaps.
